When at 40 shifting to 60 the auto allows the engine to rev so high in third until 4,000 revs and then it just clunks into 4th gear which provide the engine with a small burst of power. In fact it is one of the worst auto transmissions I have ever had the misfortune of experienceing in a car of this class. Vauxhall/Opel have a pretty good reputation across europe, no matter where you are in Europe you will always see an insignia. Look, this car is really good value, really good!! I was going to get a Lexus but having lived in the UK for five years, I heard that the Vauxhall VXR/Opel OPC Insignia was coming to Australia.
